YOUR INFORMATION, HANDLED WITH CARE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

The Platform of Hope (“POH,” “we,” “us”) respects the privacy of the families, volunteers, partners, donors, and visitors who interact with us. This policy explains what information we collect through platformofhopedc.xyz and our program forms, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including:

• Contact details (name, email, phone, mailing address) submitted through our family interest form, volunteer interest form, contact form, or email • Information shared as part of program participation, such as family goals and coaching notes, collected directly by POH staff • Donation information processed through our fiscal sponsor, Social Good Fund, including payment details handled by their secure payment processor (POH does not directly store payment card numbers) • Basic technical information collected automatically when you visit our site, such as browser type and pages viewed, through standard web analytics

How we use information

We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries, process family and volunteer interest, coordinate program participation, process donations, send communications you’ve requested (such as newsletters or event updates), and improve our programs and website. We do not sell personal information.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate our programs: with our fiscal sponsor, Social Good Fund, to process donations; with service providers who help us operate forms, email, and hosting (such as Google Forms and our website host); and with founding partners or referral organizations only when a family or volunteer asks us to make an introduction. We do not share family program information for marketing purposes, and we do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

Photos and stories

POH may photograph or record events for use on our website, social media, and annual reports. We seek consent before using identifiable photos or stories of program families and minors, and honor requests to be excluded from photography or to have images removed.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete information we hold about you, unsubscribe from email communications at any time using the link in those emails, and decline to be photographed at events by letting POH staff know. To make any of these requests, contact us using the information below.

Children’s information

As a family-serving organization, POH may collect limited information about children as part of program participation, always provided by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through our website.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we collect, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We encourage you to avoid sending sensitive information such as Social Security numbers by email.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
